The two best words to describe myself are "all over". There are so many different aspects to my life that many see it as a blur, however, somehow it makes sense to me. Every aspect can be represented by a different color, and how they all tie into each other. For example, I own eight horses, so it makes sense that I work at a horse store. Two very large aspects, my hobby and my work, are intertwined with each other. Everything in my life revolves around each other, but can be seen as very scattered.
As i stated earlier, I own eight horses. My life basically revolves around them. I show and compete nationally, with a dream of one day representing the United States at the Olympics. As of 2008 I am also trying my hand in the breeding aspect of the sport. I have learned so much from having horses, whether it be the responsibility I have had to learn by having eight horses rely on me or the sportsmanship I have gained from competing. I have been riding since I was twelve, and see myself riding for the rest of my life.
The second largest part of my life is my work. I work at Shaw's Saddlery, the big barn on De Anza Blvd., which is a horse store. Although I want to keep my career separate from my hobby, I enjoy working in the retail world with the horse community. I started when I was fifteen, and have been working there ever since. Working for so long has really molded who I am because I have had to make important decisions based on my job, (whether I should really go that party because I have to get up and go to work in the morning). My job has also made me financially independent, allowing me to learn how to budget and seeing how much things really do cost.
I learned at an early age that self image is very important in this day and age. You can decide how people see you by the way you act and represent yourself. People see you differently when you're walking down the street with your head hung low and shoulders humped than as opposed to seeing you carrying yourself proud with a head held high. I have really had to work on how I represent myself to people, especially people in the workforce. I take pride in being able to show myself differently to the different groups of people in my life. Self image is something that I think everyone needs to be aware of.
As described by earlier pictures, my life is very rocky. Whether it is my mood that is ever-changing, or what I am doing throughout the day or what I am thinking, my life never stops taking new and most of the time exciting turns. I have tried m y best to try and control it, but unfortunately I have learned that when it comes to my life, you have to sit back and allow the changes to happen. So I sit back and watch where the road of life takes me.
